Archimedian Solids

The initial aim of this project was to produce a large display piece for the Dyson Centre, to demonstrate the impressive things that can be achieved with 3D printing. It incorporates 3D printed nodes and laser cut beams to make a snub dodecahedron that now hangs above the 3D printers area. There are a total of 60 nodes and 150 beams.

The project was pioneered by our society president at the time, Jonah.

The project has now been expanded to produce a variety of different shapes with more and more unique structures. Stay tuned for more!
